Darrell Sheets may have been on the hunt for valuables on “Storage Wars,” but he knew he had his most prized treasures waiting for him back home: his family.

The reality star was not only beloved by fans, but he was a proud father and grandfather who clearly had a lot of love in his life.

Sadly, Darrell was found dead at his residence in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, on April 22 at age 67.

He died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, Lake Havasu City Police Department said in a press release obtained by Page Six.

Authorities handed Darrell’s body to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office.

After a “Storage Wars” castmate alleged that Darrell had recently been “tormented” by a cyberbully, police confirmed to Page Six they are aware of the claims, which are part of their “active investigation.”

Fans got to know Darrell over the course of 163 episodes of “Storage Wars” between 2010 and 2023, where he earned the nickname “The Gambler,” but his loved ones knew him best.

Darrell’s relationship status at the time of his death was not clear, but he was still close to longtime love Kimber Wuerfel, whom People reported was his wife.

The two had been together since 2011 and split at some point. Darrell was engaged to a woman named Romney Snyder in 2016, according to an Instagram post, and dated a woman named Patty Rich in 2019, per TMZ.

However, they evidently reconciled in recent years as Wuerfel regularly appeared on Darrell’s social media. He referred to her as “my Girl” in an Instagram post from September 2024 but hadn’t posted about her since.

According to her Instagram, Wuerfel is a real estate agent based in Orange County, California.

In a Mother’s Day tribute in 2021, Darrell called Wuerfel “one of the hardest working women I know” and added that he’s “so grateful” to have her in his life.

Brandon regularly appeared on “Storage Wars” alongside his dad and earned the nickname “Sidebet” throughout his time on the show.

He married his wife, Melissa, in 2015, with Darrell sharing his excitement for his son in an Instagram post on their big day.

Brandon and Melissa are parents to their daughter Addilyn and son Laiden.

The identity of Brandon and his sister Tiffany’s biological mother is not known.

Unlike her brother, very little information is publicly available about Tiffany, who didn’t appear on “Storage Wars” with her father.

In an Instagram post from September 2020, Darrell celebrated Tiffany’s 38th birthday and said it was “to[o] bad she’s not around to see what a great kid” her daughter Zoie “is turning out to be.”

Darrell shouted out Tiffany “where ever [sic] you are” and said he hoped she is “happy and healthy and living your life to the fullest.”

He added that a phone call from her to Zoie “would be nice.”

It appears that in the absence of her mother, Tiffany, Zoie is being raised by her grandfather.

Zoie made frequent appearances on Darrell’s Instagram feed and the two appeared to be very close, with him regularly praising her for her accomplishments.

“So hard to believe this little gal is 18 today,” he wrote in a birthday post for Zoie in July 2022.

Just a few months prior, in May 2022, Darrell and Kimber were by Zoie’s side as she graduated from high school.
