Ryan de Nino’s ex-wife, Jessica Castro, mourned the death of the “Married at First Sight” star in a statement following news of his death.

“I have not had contact with Ryan in years so I have/had no idea what his life entailed,” she exclusively told Page Six Friday evening.

“However, I do send my sincerest condolences to his family during this very difficult time,” she continued. “I can not imagine what they are going through. May he rest peacefully.”

De Nino died at the age of 40, TMZ reported on Friday afternoon, with a family member telling the outlet that he died “suddenly” in New Jersey “earlier this week.”

At this time, the family will not be releasing further details about de Nino’s death, the outlet reported.

The reality star’s sister, Melissa DeNino, took to social media with a heartfelt tribute to her brother, along with throwback photos.

“He was fiercely loyal to those he loved,” she wrote. “He had a huge heart, always. I can’t explain what it’s like to lose a sibling.”

“Someone who’s been there from the beginning and shares the same memories,” Melissa concluded.

Jessica, seen with de Nino at their 2014 wedding, said she’d had “no contact” with him in “years.”

“No matter what we were going through, I loved him immensely. Life as I know it will never be the same.”

Castro and De Nino rose to fame on the hit reality series’ second series. The duo exchanged vows and after a trial period, opted to remain together.

But shortly after the season aired, De Nino and Castro had divorced.

In June 2015, De Nino took to social media with a cropped photo of a restraining order filed by Castro, noting that it “disgusted” him.

The duo married in 2014 and divorced shortly after the second season of the show aired in 2015.

According to ABC News, Castro’s attorney claimed De Nino had allegedly made threats against his Castro and some family members.

The attorney said the priority at the time was protecting Castro — who has since moved on and welcomed a son with a subsequent partner — from “all threats to her safety and well-being.”

Kinetic Content, the series’ producer, issued a statement in 2015, writing in part, “We document their journey for six weeks after their wedding, but we can’t control how they behave, or govern their actions after production.”

They added, “We wish them nothing but the best, and hope they have a bright future ahead of them.”
