Kaia Gerber revealed her struggles with “disordered eating” and being “jealous” of her supermodel mom, Cindy Crawford.

“I’ve had disordered eating in my life. People are like, ‘You look terrible,’ and it doesn’t exactly make you go, ‘Oh, good. Let me get over this mental illness then!’” the actress told Vogue for its Tuesday cover story. “Negativity has never saved someone’s life.”

The “Shards” star admitted to feeling pressure around her body image due to Hollywood’s thin craze and public scrutiny.

“We’re clearly in one of those cycles right now where people are very, very, very thin. As someone who’s been thin most of my life, I’ve always been compared against my mom — like, ‘What’s wrong with Kaia?’”

She continued, “I’m so jealous of my mom’s body. I would have loved to be born with boobs and a butt. People have always commented on my body, which is hard because I’m not always ready to comment on my own body, you know?”

Earlier this month, the 24-year-old argued that she looks nothing like the ’80s icon.

“In all seriousness, it’s an honor when people tell me I look like my mom,” she said in a new interview with Yahoo Entertainment. “I wish I did. I think even on my best days, I’m not even close.”

However, Gerber gushed how it “means so much” to her that she’s compared to Crawford, 60.

“I think she’s just the most beautiful woman inside and out,” Gerber said of her mom. “And so if there’s any way that I remind anyone of her, it’s just, like, the largest compliment.”

Kaia, whose dad is former model and Casamigos cofounder, Rande Gerber, started modeling at the age of 10.

In 2024, Kaia noted how her “nepo baby” status has boosted her modeling career.

“I don’t think it’s a topic that will go away, so I’ve clearly reached a point of acceptance,” she told WSJ Magazine of the controversial label.

“I personally am very aware of all the wonderful things it has done for me, and I would never, ever say anything negative about it, because that is my truth about it.”

The “Palm Royale” star shared how grateful she is that she is able to go to her mom and dad for career advice.

“That’s very rare, to have parents who are in the same industry or career as you, whose advice you actually can trust.”
